Hallelujah!!! Now, we can have REAL news once again... and not the latest Rosie guffaw or mentally-ill contrived senseless comment on live tv, embarassing the American Broadcasting Company... and the nation.

The biggest and loudest career mistake of Barbara Walters' long distinguished career is finally remedied.

"America... our long (or not-so) national nightmare is over."

Best news I have heard all week! It is still two long months away however.

Perhaps she should start her own network "the Angry Lesbian Network" (ALN) and go toe to toe with Rush. Now that would either be very entertaining or downright absurd. Either way, those who don't want to listen to her agebda and lies won't have to.

It's about time they got rid of that loud mouthed sumo wrestler. Party time! Maybe then she will stay out of the news and off the tube. What a pig.

She was fired. No doubt about it. Maybe she'll get rendered down into another on-air situation. Seems like our "stay-at-home-moms" really dig the "Rosie".

              GO Rosie!!!

Whats wrong with her saying what she feels? You do the same thing on netscape hiding behind your computers. She does it on air in view of everyone and doesn't care if you like it or not. It's a free country as far I know for now.

So get over it !!!!!!!! Freedom of Speech for ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Name calling is a sign of a limited mind.

They never had to. People who dodn't want to hear what Rosie has to say could switch to another channel or turn the TV off. I like Rosie. She's brave and really puts herself out there, which is what she is paid to do. People like you ould deny others the right to say what they think while you spew you're narrow-mined guts all over the place. Get over it.

If more people had the guts to speak their minds like Rosie O'Donnell, we may not be in the God-awful mess we're in. Even the likes of Bush and Cheney would have listen.

Its rather funny that people that are against her seem dead set on mentioning her weight. Now I personally don't like her views almost across the board. But for me it is more meaningful to say your glad she is gone because you didn't like what she said, that's fair enough but to harp on her weight? What would you prefer to have on the view a playboy center fold? If Rosie looked like a playboy centerfold would you have wanted her to stay?

Sorry but the more I find that people simply wanted her gone because of her weight the more I hope she gets another show on TV. Not that I'll watch it because I don't agree with her but it would be nice to see someone that is so dispised simply because of their weight pop on the tube each day to give you shallow dolts something to complain about.

What I find most offensive are the horrific things "Rosie", (disturbs me to even write her name) has said about so many people. How dare she degrade her own country & the people in it, that incidentally, made her a millionaire. Also, denegrating our president who has aged at least 10 years keeping us safe & out of harms way. She is a no talent, ignorant embarassment to anyone w/ a brain or compassion. Made me very happy to learn she is no longer on TV & anyone who sponsers another show for her will go broke, her career is SO over.

I am sad that Rosie is leaving. As for those of you who can't stand her - what don't you understand about turning the channel for heaven sake! You don't even have to get up to do it! There are other programs on other channels. Personally, I just started watching the view because I am boycotting CBS/NBC because of the firing of Don Imus (and I don't even like him) for free speech reasons. Watch out people - we are going places we should not be going with the issue of people not being allowed to state their views! Wow! Won't this be a fun place to live if we are only allowed to hear what Al Sharpton thinks or believes?

I don't agree with RD on 911, and I thought the Trump thing was a set up to help TV ratings for both (that sure worked!). The view is "the view" and will probably not be out there as much.... will we miss the mindless gunk going on - NOT! Rosie is probably a good person that is very outspoken....

While I've never watched the View (as I use legitimate NEWS sources) and generally think TV has become nothing more than infotainment for dummies (especially FOX) its sad that the reich-wing media is so tightly controlled that opposing views to the "o-fish-ul" party line are squelched and squashed (Bill Maher, Phil Donahue, Rosie etc..) While she wouldn't be my first pick for 9-11 awareness, I applaud her bravery in trying to make people aware of the gang of thugs that have taken our democracy hostage... Rock on Rosie, you're better than that infotainment for stay-at-home-moms tripe....

I don't care what Rosie looks like I simply find her offensive and rude. She seems to thrive on being as nasty as she can. There is a big difference in bringing up important issues and just plain being loud. To me she is just loud noise and crude. It really does not matter to me if she ever gets her own show I quit watching the view when she came on and would never watch her on her own show..

What can I expect from someone who thinks that Madonna is a hero for buying African slave children?

You seem to think that Madonna should have not have saved a child from a life of poverty, want, and possibly an early death at the hands of militants. What ever you say, she has at least SAVED one child. How much of an effort have you made to save a child? Any child?
