STONERS
April 26, 2007, 12:54 a.m.The beauty queen, Lauren Nelson, of Lawton, Okla., worked with police in Suffolk County to target would-be sexual predators. Officers with the county's computer crimes unit created an online profile of a 14-year-old girl that included photographs of Nelson taken when she was a teenager.
Four men who chatted with Nelson online and then showed up at a home were arrested Friday, police said. Seven more, who engaged in sexually explicit chat and sent pornographic pictures but did not go to the home, surrendered Wednesday, police said.
All face charges of attempted dissemination of indecent material to minors.

April 26, 2007, 7:40 a.m.I love it when these idiots make comments online that they are worried that they are being pulled into some type of trap (like on Primetime) yet they show up anyway! Dopes!

April 26, 2007, 8:59 a.m.This is an excellent program. This is done by several groups around the country with frightening results. I would like to see a web site that posted the results of these stings, along with the photos and names of the perpetrators.

April 26, 2007, 11:14 a.m.She's very brave, and prudent to do what she does.
Unfortunately, this is just scratching the surface, there so many more predators out there. Success, & Kudo's to her anyway!

April 26, 2007, 8:16 p.m.I agreed with PshychoHosebeast only on this comment.
I've often wondered just how many "predators" there are out there.
I disagree with the rest of the comments.
I believe it's more common than people believe.
