April 27, 2007, 2:37 p.m.The Iraqis don't want the wall. So the "compromise" is a smaller wall. Nuts. No wonder they want us out. We are the occupying force. When will we ever learn?
Hubris. Arrogance.

April 27, 2007, 2:48 p.m.A smaller wall. Well, all righty then. Make the 'wall' idea less secure, so people don't have to struggle so much to get over or through the wall. Or is this about the contractor who wants a whole lot of $$$ to build the wall? Wonder what the price difference will be from a big wall, to a smaller wall. hmmmm Well, no matter. The Iraqi government can't be too concerned about it, cause I hear they're taking the summer off! Yep, no big problems to resolve in Iraq. Besides, our troops are there to look after their 'store.' The troops don't get summers off, but they're just grunts. Yeah, things are coming along just fine in Iraq.

April 27, 2007, 7:10 p.m.Ah yes. The ol' Maginot Line philosophy. very well then. Perhaps they should include a few shrubberies here and there for effect. Then you won't be able to see the mortars being launched... fenced out, fenced in. It's time to get out of there.
