The debate will be very interesting and hopefully decide the election.

    It is not necessarily true.

The winner in the Kerry-Bush debates was not the winner of the election.

I hope the French will have better judgment than us.

Bizarre story: Apparently Bayrou doesn't realize he is out of the election. He will not even be on the ballot. No wonder Sarkozy isn't interested in a phony face to face with Bayrou and Royal. The election will be between Royal and Sarkozy period.

The last thing France needs is another neocon Dumbya poodle, like Sarkozy. Too bad Bayrou didn't have a stronger showing. At this juncture, France is better off with Royal.

The French may be waking up to the fact that peace at any price isn't worth the price.

Ms Royal is against the Bush doctrine of dominion over the world and has stated she would not shake his hand. I applaud her wise and pragmatic decision and as an American I desire her election.

In America we have a dictatorship and despot who rules supreme. For those who despise my rhetoric, look within and see what America has become, a Conservative hawkish nation that perpetuates aggressive wars against soverign nations. We are the bully on the world stage and the world despises America. We have earned that hatred. At one time after 9/11 we had the sympathy of the world and even with this Bush squandered all by inane political and historical moves.

We Americans are ruled by the "Pure Elitist" and Bush is the lap dog for these functioning one percent of Americans. Even the illegal alien issue is abysmal with the elite wanting and desiring cheap labor at the expense of the average American. Good luck Ms. Royal, I would not shake Bush's bloody hands either.

Aha! I see all the liberals want Royal because she snubs Bush. Other than that the liberal dummys don't know a damn thing about the French election and what goes on in France. I live there half the year and do know! The libs don't care that Sarkozy is pro American no matter if we have a Democrat or Republican president. They just like Royal because she's a Socialist/Liberal who hates the US and is against Bush and that's all that counts for the libs.

Well I will take the Socialist/Liberal agenda any day over the one percent elite now in America. Bush is your idol, pray to him~!!

Typical conservative viewpoint which is my road or the highway. I am holier than thou and I know what is best for the world.

From one America, Ms. Royal win the election and set the conservatives back a notch. Your past government accomplished much by not following the Bush edict of world power. Your citizens are not receiving death notices for French serviceman killed in action within a wrong civil war perpetrated by a dictator, BUSH. Keep up your present course by not Meddling into other nations business but instead promote trade and acceptence of other idioms. Simple thought but a thought lost in American politics.

It's curious that terrorism is not on the ballot in France this year. Curious too that despite being a "threatened" Western power like the Brits and yours truly, the French frontrunners seem to be more interested in matters that affect everyday French society.

Maybe that was Chirac's strength; maybe that's a lesson for Republicans cos their Campaign of Fear just isn't working

                          >>>>need to fight the terrorists abroad so we don't have to face them here at home>>>> hahaha

                          Vive the French model
