The truth hurts ... some just absolutely refuse to face it, so they demean it and discount it as 'propoganda', when they are the ones that have swallowed so much propoganda from the Bush admin and the neo-cons ...

Way to go Populist! What do do? It seems like you scrape every bit of junk, slime and garbage from under every sleezy rock, then post it on Netscape! It is clear you dislike Americans. This didn't even deserve to be read! I feel we should be willing to read and assess the articles, but lately, when I see articles posted by populist, I can be sure they represent anti-American trash.

Judging by the scope of your posts over that last few months, I suggest your are from Syria, or Lebanon, or quite possibly a Palestine refugee that no Arab country will accept across their borders. I know this has some profiling involved, but it is clear that you hate the American freedoms and values and relish the countrol within the facist countries.

Therefore, I suggest you may be some a person with some small authority (teacher, or clerk) who wishes to make a name by bashing Americans. Obviously you have a self-image problem, perhaps even a physiological shortfall as well.

Those who voted for Bush and his congressional enablers, especially in 2004, even after witnessing the lies, corruption, misdventures and failures of his first few years, must accept responsibility. Instead, as evidenced by their posts here, they join their Fuhrer in his faith-based fantasies and shoot-the-messenger tactics.

Wrong. WE have destroyed America by allowing the useless !@#*$^#$ a--holes in congress to sell their votes to any corporation, union, lawyer, or foreign government who will put up campaign contributions and graft. republican, democrat, no difference. The bush administration is nothing more than watching the sorry mess go to a new extreme that has been building since lbj.

What a sick and uninformed comment to make. 70 Americans are murdered everyday in American Streets. Where is the outrage for the war in our streets, which in some cases are as dangerous as Baghdad? I could give you facts on war and as bad as this is and any war, this is a bloody nose compared to others. People who are there know they have a just cause. This is not a Vietnam and I have always supported Bush, Lieberman, and those of any party who have our best interests at heart. I lost a cousin in Iraq and a close friend in the towers and believe me I am thankful that Bush had the kahunas to do something. He is not arrogant but knows what will happen if we pull out. In spite of hatred against him, he stills moves forward. Clinton had the football first and did nothing. When 911 happened and people cried and wanted revenge Bush was popular. Now, the enemy is fighting back and we don't like it because we want a McDonalds solution. Our strength will be our patience and perserverance.

I absolutely agree with this story. People can be excused for voting for this imbecile the first time (after all, who knew?) but if they voted for him the second time they need to look in the mirror and say "I have sinned. I am the problem. I had a hand in this." After all the scandals, the war, the deaths of so many of Americas' finest young people, the unbeliveable debt being piled up daily, the civil-rights abuses, the blights on the constitution, the squeezing of the middle-class, the spoiled-brat behavior they still support him and his crew of thugs. Incredible.

To hell with both sides. All it is is namecalling and immature squabbling. One side ignores the issue and takes a defensive posture concerning themselves. The other side is dragged into a third grade morass. What hope exists for solving any issue whatsoever? For those of you that are proud of America's past, have another heaping helping of white propaganda.

                                      Sane:

I would agree with you, but there is one problem with what you said. ONE SIDE has been running everything for six years, and they have made a huge mess out of everything. There are arrogant, incompetent, and corrupt - a hell of a combination.

While Clinton may have been a scoundrel - he not only stuck it to Monica, he stuck it to a lot of liberal prinicples as well i.e. NAFTA, war on drugs, etc... - he was also a hell of a competent leader who

                                      - ended genocide in the former Yugoslovia without involving us in a war

                                      - balanced the budget and left a budget surplus (to be blown by Bush)

                                      - came very close to bringing Isreal and Palastinians to a peace agreement (to be ignored by Bush)

                                      - was actually personally involved in going after Bin-Ladin (to be fumbled by Bush)

                                      So pick your poison.

Can you name the list of bushites who have since done an about face and are now denouncing this inept administration.

                                        Start with Colin Powell

                                        add David Cho

                                        its a long list.........

And NAFTA is why we now and will continue to import canadian and mexican oil. Thats the part they didn't mention.

The "war on drugs" was a Nixon concept which has simply resulted in the US having the largest prison system in the world.

I'm spellbound. This article epitomizes my thoughts and should be a wake up call to Americans.

This war and Conservative hawks "Are" destroying our country for future generations. Our intrusion into nations of the world is an outrage and I promote the World Court to charge all those responsible which includes Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rice, Rumsfeld, Rove and others. They have destroyed what was once good. Our elite military leaders who failed to set their leader straight about the Iraq consequences are as guilty, they are followers of insanity. I realize they serve at the whim of the White House but that does not equate with criminal decisions to save a job. Iraq was the largest mistake any president in our history has made. Vietnam does not even come close for many reasons.

America is now the Gestapo under a Hitler actor, BUSH.

While somewhat entertaining, all this juvenile trashing of each other, Republicans vs. Democrats, really serves no purpose other than to further divide us. Likely that none of us here are actually investigative reporters. Not sure many of those true patriots still exist or have the guts to stick their heads up. One exception, Greg Palast. Read his new expose' "Armed Madhouse" for the inside story of how the 2000 and 2004 elections were stolen, and how they are preparing to steal the 2008 election as well.

His weakness gave us the Iran we have today and began a movement against the US in the Middle East. He is still working on his legacy. At least half of us in this country still have a back bone. Stay at home and take care of the children, the rest of us are trying to keep our dignity and not look like a bunch of suck up liberals. Bush is our man and I'm standing with him...
