May 1, 2007, 2:25 a.m.Whats simply amazing about this is he does it with a strait face! Facts are one thing, then there is Tony Snow(JOB)...
"WASHINGTON - In his prime-time press conference last week,
which focused almost solely on Iraq,
President Bush mentioned Sept. 11 eight times.
He referred to Saddam Hussein many more times than that,
often in the same breath with Sept. 11."

May 1, 2007, 4:01 a.m.Hey, I'm not a big fan of the war in Iraq, but at the same time Sept. 11 forced us to look at the war on terror in a new way. We didn't go to Iraq because they caused Sept. 11, we went to prevent Sept. 11 from happening again. Everyone knows that the best defense is a good offense and that is what Bush and the White house has been doing. While I might not agree with the war I gotta give him some respect for doing what he said he would and not backing down because of popularity. Many people need to stop and think about the attitude of what happen in 2001. It was a devastating blow and Bush's has at least kept America safe ,so far, from further attacks.

Your Gov thinks the people are of low intelligence, to try and sell this Edsel to you shows how arrogant they really are.Its a Snow-job and a poor one at that

May 1, 2007, 9:56 a.m.Ah...here the liberals go with their making up stories again. The Bush administration has NEVER said that Saddam wsa linked to 9/11. The administration has said that Saddam was linked to Al Queda which IS true, like it or not. Saddam may have not vehemently been a supporter of AQ but he did allow them free reign to operate in his country and use it as a staging ground for attacks against the West and pro-Western governments.

May 1, 2007, 10:19 a.m.I can't believe what I just heard. The only assumption is that all major media is in the back pocket of this administration. Which means there is no reliability whatsoever on mainstream TV or newsprint.
I suggest all watch Bill Moyer "Buying the War".

May 1, 2007, 10:20 a.m.Don't forget the democraps... I mean democrats and their slick willy ways. Except for Obama and a few others, everyone else was for the War and now they are not. I rather have someone who sticks to his principles even if I don't agree with them totally, than have people change views just to win political offices.
As for Tony Snow I'm glad he is back to work. It a tough job he's doing especially if he's going to go through Kemo. It's people like him, that put country and service first, that give me hope that not all politicians are bad.

May 1, 2007, 11:03 a.m.It's this kind of careless approach to the preciseness of the English language that allows the main stream media and the political pundits the ability to dumb down the people. There is a difference between Iraq and Saddam Hussein and it's not subtle. Bush, Tony Snow and the lot never lied about the reasons for going into Iraq including the WMD reasons. We didn't go into Iraq to find WMDs, we went to make sure Iraq didn't have any and now they don't. The war in Iraq has done more to preserve the security of this country and the rest of the world than any other action. It removed the ability of Saddam to harbor and supply terrorists, it gave the US a front to fight terror that is far away from US soil, it pitted well armed, well trained soldiers, as opposed to defenceless civilians, against the terrorists and it had drawn out would be terrorists into service instead of letting them create sleeper cells like the one on 9/11. If you want to hate Bush for that, have at it.
