May 1, 2007, 6:43 p.m.At least five states - Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina and South Dakota - require computer technicians to report child pornography. Connecticut and California are considering legislation that would go a step farther, adding technicians to the list of "mandated reporters" who notify authorities about any type of child abuse and neglect.

May 2, 2007, 4:40 p.m.Should not everyone report this type of abuse to officials? Saying they are going to mandate IT's to do this is nothing new. But everyone should do their part to rid the internet of this type of abuse. Not just IT's. At least they are doing something. That is something to talk about.
