May 1, 2007, 1:01 p.m.After he retires, will they remove GWB's hand from up his arse?
No, wait, that's a little harsh. Tony has been a pretty good ally and has helped to share the blame/shame of the Iraq problem. Maybe JUST before he leaves office he'll do us one last favor and bomb the hell out of the entire Middle East and solve the problems there wholesale.

May 2, 2007, 3:23 a.m.Bush has killed far more babies than any abortion doctor in the country. And women and children. Unfortunately for them, they do not have white skin or speak american english, so they don't count to raving lunatics like Mr. LibsTellFibs. Republican power is based on 50 years of lies, slander, distortion, extortion, assassinations, mass layoffs, and unrelentless fear mongering. Everyone in Britain hates Blair. Everyone in the world outside the US and Israel hates Bush. Before Bush, people hated our government but loved our people. Now they hate us as people. That is your legacy, Mr. Ideologue and the other cloned sheep who misrepresent themselves as "Conservatives". Y'all all a bunch of Nazi Fascist thugs, your time will come. America is sick of being the posterboy for neo-fascism, the population isn't buying it anymore, democrats, republicans, independents, and the vast uninterested in politics crowd. Your numbers, power, and influence are shrinking. Get used to it.

May 1, 2007, 5:58 p.m.Good riddance to Tony Blair. He and the Labour Party held such promise after 18 years of Conservative rule. But Blair made the crucial mistake of becoming George W. Bush's lapdag on the issue of Iraq (largely with the support of the hawkish Conservative Party). He should have stepped down a few years ago, as he promised to do. As it is now, Gordon Brown will be the next Prime Minister only if Labour maintains a majority in Parliament. Otherwise, the Conservatives are the only other party with enough votes to build a coalition for a majority. ....and then Britain may have the Conservative Party in control, but not much will change on Iraq. And the gains that Labour has made on economic and social issues will slowly be dismantled. ....and if such an election result happens, the responsibility will lie at the feet of Mr. Blair.

May 1, 2007, 10:25 p.m.Hummm? WMDs in Iraq and threat from Sadam did not work out for him. What a shame. Or Bush might have been too aggressive in the backend for this poor Engilsh poodle to bear.

May 2, 2007, 10:02 a.m.This is not unusual for a sitting PM to step down. Time to go Blair. Your biggest blunder was to support the Village Idiot in the White House.
Don't be surprised if Blair gets a plum job with the Carlyle Group.
The UK needs to distance itself from Bush and his gang of thugs.
