On his News and Comment radio show this morning, ABC Radio Networks host Paul Harvey said "the media should put a stop" to labeling "women and children" killed in war as "civilians."

I have always enjoyed listening to Paul Harvey when I had the chance. "now you know the rest of the story" that's about all I know about the guy. I thought of him as a modern day Will Rogers. Wrong again.

I have listened and respected Harvey all my life. I especially enjoy his "Rest of the Story" piece ... a true journalistic feat of dedicated research and clever writing. His broadcast delivery is distinct and arresting. I will not forget the crying and blubbering he exhibited when Oliver North was being grilled in the Iran-gate hearings. Nevertheless, I hold Harvey in very high esteem even though it is very possible he is losing mental focus.

I, too, enjoyed his radio program "Rest of the Story". But now I have lost most of my respect for him. He should have kept his callous comments to himself. I thought he was a right winger, but not that far right.

Well put Paul Harvey! One of the biggest problems i see with this country is that everyone is to concerned with upsetting the next person over taking appropriate actions on serious matters. Its really sick how the black community is oh white man called me a ****** my life is ruined, gay rights, and you people here commenting about how he hurts your feelings saying we shouldn't call hostel foreigns killing our troops civilians. I mean society today disproves evolution because people are still as dumb as monkeys today as they were a million years ago.

Just label the kids with bombs strapped to them by their parents or women bringing a fruit basket with explosives into an American tent as combatant casualties of war. The rest shouldn't be included.

Harvey's ignorance is surpassed only by x000000000009's and tiredofwhiners'. They had the benefit of hindsight on the incident and still managed to be imbeciles.
