A top Justice Department official tried to win the silence of fired Seattle U.S. Attorney John McKay during a "sinister" phone call in January, McKay said in response to written questions from the House Judiciary Committee.

    I remember when they fired this one(he was my US attorney). We had just had a massive election issue. Where govorners race was close enough to involve 3 recounts. and in the end the Democrat(christine gregoire) won.

    McKay looked into the GOP eledged voter fruad, and in the end on the recommendation of the FBI, he dropped the case.. He had no solid proof of anything, and wasnt going to waste tax payers money, or muddy someones name who did nothing wrong. And they fired him for it.. They fired him for not using a court of law for partisan political gains.

    He was a Bush pick even.. Not a Clinton leftover, this guy was personally appointed by Bush.
