May 3, 2007, 1:42 p.m.There has been NO 'war' to win since May 2003.
According to Bush, we 'won' the war in May of 2003. After that, what is "lost" is the 'occupation' and any success at 'rebuilding' and 'democracy'.
Per recent stories regarding the poor and negligent 'quality' of most of the reconstruction our billions of dollars have been spent on, and considering the continual level of violence that Bush's "surge" has not really impacted, the Iraq 'invasion' has definitely been a disaster.

May 4, 2007, 6:15 a.m.It is too bad that the things that could get us out of Iraq, and many other terrible situations we find ourselves in, logic, a realistic view of human behavior and motivation, knowledge of history; all these are virtually absent in the American population, because they have all been eliminated from what passes for 'education'.
Great lies pass unnoticed, because so few have the mental tools to analyze them for what they are.
