May 6, 2007, 7:25 p.m.I have contractors, in my experience, they come out, look at job, say they will call, which they don't, or say they will come back tomorrow, which they don't. On those rare occasions that they do call back, I may get "oh sure we'll be there next week", which they aren't :)

May 7, 2007, 2:26 p.m.You are all going about this roofer problem in the wrong way. A roofer's job is a hot job that tends to make the roofer thirsty. Therefore, one should offer the roofers a six pack of their favorite beer, in addition to their roofing fees, at the end of their day. This will ensure that the roofer will show for work and complete the job. Roofers LOVE beer. Also a hot chick in a bikini on the lawn each day they are there will further ensure their presence.
