Framework Convention on Climate Change are to negotiate key elements of a treaty to succeed the 10-year-old Kyoto Protocol, which set binding targets on industrial countries to cut emissions of carbon dioxide and other gases believed to cause global warming.

May 8, 2007, 8:17 p.m.There is no problem...people have to learn that the Earth is "bigger" than the human race - why do they expect the Earth's temperatures to stay consistent during the Age of Man?
Following the ice age, this has been the longest, most consistent period of weather...but the Earth has gone through huge shifts during it's existence:
