my totally best summer job was painting swimming pools--it wasnt a career feeler--although looking back maybe it was--but it had the best of all summer deals for a fit ambitious youth--you worked like a maniac from the day you left school--7 days a week--16-18 hrs a day--sleep work sleep work--you got paid by the gallon of paint put down--because as soon as the weather turns everyone wants their pool opened--so you work work work..make outrageous money --till july 4th or so--then get the rest of the summer off--i usually took off west to look around
