The students from Paul Smith's College were among six thrown into Lower St. Regis Lake just off shore from campus late Friday after two canoes and a power boat capsized.

"Our entire community is deeply saddened by this loss," said John Mills , the college's president. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of both these young men."
