Thinking of scratching the car more to remove a scratch just makes me stress more when I think about it.

The snow and ice make scratches and debree falling from trucks on the highway is how I get scratches.

It's almost impossible to avoid scratching my car. Once I start driving it - dust, debris, pretty much anything will scratch it.
