I have heard that conversation more than once! One of 3 possiblities here, 1. he goes out with Jack, leaves her behind=he's gonna pay for that. 2. he goes out with Jack and takes her=miserable time. 3. he doesn't go out with Jack=bigtime ragging on by Jack and happy time with woman :)

Guy - I'm going out with Jack on Thursday.
Woman - Okay. Don't forget to fix the caulking around the tub. And the pipes are leaking water into the office downstairs. So the pipes and the ceiling need to be fixed. There's a wasp nest in the attic. I need your tools out of the way for that garage sale I'm having. We have some wires in the basement that need looking at. While you're down there, could you take a look at the clothes dryer? It's not shutting off. Did I mention that your son pushed the screen out in his room AND the kitchen? Do think that maybe you could treat that woodpile out back for termites? I would hate it if those things started chewing on the house. I could give you a hand with a lot of this stuff but the only night I have available is Thursday. And we really should spend the weekend getting caught up. Or I could just call someone to come out and take care of...
Guy - (Picks up phone and calls Jack) I don't think I can make it on Thursday... No, I'll call you.
