STONERS
May 11, 2007, 8:20 a.m.Austrian officials said the latest case was linked to the discovery in February of a child porn ring involving nearly 2,400 suspects from 77 countries.
That investigation began last July, when a man working for a Vienna-based Internet file-hosting service approached authorities at Austria's interior ministry to say he had noticed child pornography being downloaded during a routine check.
Within a 24-hour period, investigators recorded more than 8,000 hits from 2,361 computer I.P. addresses in 77 countries ranging from Algeria to South Africa, officials said. They said users paid to download video of children under age 14 being sexually abused.
Hubmann said the server was located in St. Petersburg, Russia, and since has been shut down.
The FBI was investigating about 600 suspects in the United States, German authorities were following leads on another 400 people and France was looking into more than 100 others, the ministry said.
( I hope they catch every one of them )

May 11, 2007, 10:40 a.m.I'm glad there is still SOMETHING in this world that is considered wrong. I hope the book hits them so hard it leaves welt marks.
As a side note, we decry the FBI as akin to the mafia in several instances, but such things as this are somewhat downplayed. They are doing their job, but sometimes they make mistakes too.
I salute those hardworking men and women that strive to make this country a safer one.

May 11, 2007, 9:23 p.m.Looking into the files of a computer hard disk or looking into what is downloaded from a privately owned Web site is a very big crime. No one is capable of exercising censorship in a fair and unbiased way. It is about time to do something about it. Needless to say we all want a childhood growing healthy and happy.
