"I don't have any harsh feelings toward him because he brought my son back," Shametca Morris, 27, said as Kevin rode a tricycle in her front yard Thursday. She said the little boy showed no sign of trauma from the experience.

The boy's father said Kevin was alone in the van for less than a minute. When he discovered the vehicle was gone, he ran back inside the store and the owner called 911.

It was a nerve-racking five or six minutes, but then the green minivan pulled back into the parking lot, Madden said. He said he yelled at the driver, who ran away after saying he was just borrowing the vehicle.

(((Well Thank God nothing happened to the child)))

The thief probably has a kid of his own. I can't think of anything that would bring a car thief down faster than to drive off, look in the rear-view mirror, and see a baby in a car seat... lol

Wow, that family is lucky. There are plenty of people out there that would have ditched the child and kept going.

The parent should have been given a charge for negligence. Why do people take chances with their children?

I don't think the thief had a heart at all. He just knew that criminals typically don't spend any time at all (or very little) for auto theft, but much time (try life without parole) for kidnapping children. He just had more common sense than the mother.

It's amazing how easily judgement gets passed out when it's someone else.

How many of these "rock-throwers" are actually parents? If so, none of you can deny ever leaving your child in the vehicle "just for a minute". Did you ever forget something in the house before leaving and leave your kid in the car to "go grab it real quick"?

..."two year old in a supermarket? If not it's a good case for birth control." This comment bears no weight to this conversation and is selfish and juvenile in its nature. Like a two year old.

If you ever had children, a 2 year old to be specific, perhaps you would be more empathetic, but in your case I doubt ever sympathetic.
