May 13, 2007, 11:24 a.m.So now not even spouses can be critical of the war. They can join the list of former generals and other military personnel, non-Republicans, and the other 70 percent of the the public who wants to stop wasting valuable American lives in this civil war. If there's a dissenter from any group, there'll be someone like Dr. Laura using her freedom of speech to tell them to shut up. I hope it doesn't take her son being killed or physically damaged for life in order to open her heart.

May 13, 2007, 1 p.m.Only TOO typical anything that comes from the neo-cons Bushies.
I expect that Dr. Laura has never had any friend or relative sent to Iraq or Afghanistan or otherwise has ANY connection to the reality of what is going on. Her remarks are condescending and hateful and erroneous.
It is Dr. Laura who needs to be told to "shut up" when it comes to giving advice to ANYONE that is serving in the military or has families serving in the military.

May 15, 2007, 2:34 p.m.Ooo...you guys are vicious; but so right. Why is she even in the news.
I'm sure most wives and family members try to be upbeat when speaking with their loved ones who are serving in the military, but there is only so much you can fake and then you do show your emotions. I just heard on the news that some of our young men and women are having to do two and three tour duties and some have had their tour of duties extended and don't know when they will be coming home. Maybe Quack Laura has "ice" in her veins and can't understand how all of this can affect these families--so until she walks a mile in their shoes she needs to button her lip about their "whining".
