May 13, 2007, 5:15 p.m.Draft?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conscription
"Conscription is a component of "total war", and can also be used as an example of established policy to justify a government's demand that other sacrifices be required of civilians. Once a draft is allowed, Justice Louis Brandeis argued, "all bets are off". Arguably this results in a blurring of the moral distinction between civilians and the military as legitimate military targets, leading to attacks on civilians. Examples would include the indiscriminate bombing of cities conducted by both sides during World War II"
Indentured servitude is more like.

May 13, 2007, 11:42 p.m.A million troops are very expensive.
And not more effective than 130,000 in Baghdad.
Just more targets.

May 14, 2007, 1:13 a.m.Are some in America still under the belief that the majority of Iraqi's want our occupation? If only the Iraqi government could form a block and vote this one simple issue, America would then be on the way home, regardless of Bush/Cheney. Our government is blocking this idea.
No conservative hawk would want that vote, so make it a non issue is their agenda.
