The big news is that the most popular baby names for boys and girls from 2005 continue to dominate in 2006. The top three names for both genders remain completely unchanged, and even remain in the same order.

The Biblical names seem to dominate on the male side. My mom's name was Emma, and it was a very rare name in her day. Quite some change on the female side.

I think this should be retitled "popular WHITE baby names." It's been quite some time since I've seen a black kid named Jacob, Ethan, Joshua or Madison.
