May 16, 2007, 2:33 p.m.The media rushed way too quickly with Falwell stories. Yesterday they could've stayed more on topic by just reporting on the event and circumstances rather than trying to fill air time and column inches with all the background fluff and so-called analysis.
MSNBC, ye messed up on this one. I haven't seen MSNBC quote parody sites as legitimate in the past, so this one incident should not condemn the entire network. If that were the universal standard, Fox News would be a trivia question today as an alleged "news" channel that once was, instead of a continuing source of erroneous and exaggerated information.
