May 16, 2007, 11:25 p.m.And when he does give a statement in response to a question

"Democrats said his testimony appeared to contradict Gonzales' account in February 2006, when he told two congressional panels that there had "not been any serious disagreement about the program."
Then to top it off!
" Bush continued to stand by his longtime friend and adviser. "The president still has full confidence in Alberto Gonzales," said White House spokesman Tony Snow."

May 17, 2007, 5:36 p.m.Gonzales is a liar....to have the US Attorney General, the top law enforcer in our nation be proven a liar (and not about a tryst.....) about denigration of our constitutional rights is appalling !! He should resign in disgrace....if not he should be fired/removed from office....and the White House continues to support him !!! Equally appalling !!
