Detectives found what initially appeared to be a late-term fetus in a brown bag in the freezer, police said, though it wasn't immediately clear whether the remains resulted from a miscarriage, late-term abortion or a death shortly after birth.

    (((Shocking-what some people will do)))

      That was just sick!

One thing the article clarified was that, by law, a fetus is not considered a human being. The Bible says to follow the laws of man, so that being the case, the issue of abortion is somewhat moot.

I really can't judge if it was sick or not. I certainly don't know what I or my wife would do if she spontaneously aborted late term.

Besides going to the doctor (if you have health insurance), what is the proper disposal of such? I assume if you threw it in the trash, you could certainly get in a lot of trouble for that. You could bury it, although I'm sure laws apply there, too, or where in the city could you bury it? If you couldn't afford to go to the doctor, you're certainly not going to be able to afford a funeral.

I'd need a lot more information before I judged someone on this count.

I'd say what's most disturbing in this case is that someone is being arraigned for what might not even be a crime, possibly not even anyone's business.

But at least she'll get to know who told the cops.

article states"But later, Lt. Daniel Herrmann said the abuse of a corpse charge applies only to human beings. Under the law, he said, a fetus is not considered a human being."

Huh?! yet they charged her with abuse of a corpse?! a fetus isnt a human unless its out of the womb, is this really the law?! How contradictory, because its considered an offense if a fetus is injured (ex: punching a pregnant woman in the abs and she miscarriages). They'll pin murder on that person. I dont get it

They did not think the boyfriend was the father? Did they do a dna test to even know if it was the mom's fetus, her boyfriends or whoevers?

A lot of men say they are not the father. You can see that in support courts all over the nation.

The man was just trying to cover his ***. Nothing new here. But what crime was committed?
