General Patsy Fallguy would disagree, we now have someone to guarantee accountablity.

I heard someone on the radio say that the problem here is not people. You can throw or put as many different people on the same policy all you want - the real problem is the policy itself. If that policy is wrong, it doesn't matter who is managing it.

Bush's continued "policy" regarding Iraq has always been wrong.

Lute is going to end up being the "fall guy" for when Bush leaves office and a new administration finally gets us OUT of Iraq (if Congress can't get us out sooner).

we already have a war czar. he's called "commander in chief."

and he's horrible at his job.

if he doesn't get it together quick in afghanistan, he'll be the first commander in chief to lose two wars.

The appointment of Gen. Lute is an admission that no one currently in the administration is competent to run these wars. Not Bush, not Gates, and certainly not Hadley.

Bush listens to his "commanders on the ground" as long as their assessment goes along with what he believes.

I thought the Repub mantra was "less government" and "keep government out of our personal lives"...yeah right !! We now have Homeland Security, War Czar, eavesdropping, wiretapping, outing our CIA Agents...anything that fits their political agenda is fair game...even the Constitution...intrusions into our lives BIG TIME !! BUSH et al has got to go !!
