Private military contractors have profited most in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, bleeding billions of dollars in unaccounted for funds out of our taxes as well as hundreds of billions more in outrageously overpriced services. There are currently 100,000 private contractors operating in Iraq and major military-industrial corporations are helping write provisions to privatize Iraqi oil. Guess whose going to control the vast Iraqi oil reserves if they get their way.

It is disgusting to make a profit off of war.

      All wars should be NONPROFIT!!!!!!!!

The private military companies (i.e. Halliburton, Blackwater, Titan Corp.) and their cozy relationship with top government officials have been some of the largest burdens on the troops in this war.

If you notice, I did not mention any specific government officials in my comments because the problem runs rampant on both sides of the aisle. No bid contracts are wrong because they defy the basic tenants of capitalism and don't allow us to find the best services available. The fact is, PMCs have been bleeding our country dry and have proven to be one of the biggest roadblocks in our troops' attempts to make progress in Iraq. If you want to just focus on Democrats to shift the blame from the Republicans, then go ahead, but blind partisanship and adherence to orders of party leaders is what allows this to happen.
