Murtha accused of rules violation »

Rep. John P. Murtha (D-Pa.) threatened to deny any further spending projects to Republican Mike Rogers who challenged him over an earmark -- a violation of House rules. Murtha threatened Rogers on the House floor Thursday for offering a motion last week to expose a $23 million earmark that Murtha had inserted into an intelligence bill.

We can all rest easy knowing that the anti-corruption, fiscally conservative Speaker Pelosi will denounce and put a stop this outrageous and cynical rules breaking immediately.

We need to clean house with both parties in the House and Senate. Professional politicians are just not the answer.

Nothing is going to change with the "New Congress". It is business as usual. The party in power is always the one in the spotlight. The dems are in power and we are just getting a look at all the things that they were doing when the republicans were in power.

When the republicans were in power, the dems shenanigans did not get a lot of publicity. With the power shift, their nonsense will get more exposure and the republicans' nonsense will go into the shadows.

How much cash did he have in his freezer? Oh that was another Democrat.

How much did he make off those land deals by changing the zoning? Oh that was somebody else.

It's hard keeping up with these hypocrites.

I am so sick of what our government has become, Democrats and republicans are a putrid blight on America. Murtha is just another representative who uses his position for power and greed while perfecting the art of pork barrel politics.

Vote all out and refreshen our government. It is so despicable I have run out of adjectives to describe our leadership, from the Bush Administration to Hillary, Obama and the rest. Its all a shill to elect another fatcat to represent the average American. Murtha is an A-hole like all in Washington D.C. If you know my post I do not use the above word often but I'm sick of our representative government and the jerks America continues to reelect.

So much for American values and intelligence. I didn't vote for Bush, did YOU?

There are snakes in the grass of Congress, and some have red markings while others have blue. But as the Bush administration says ad infinitum, "This is a matter of ongoing legal investigation, so I am not going to comment." Let the investigation take its course, and just maybe, the truth will out.

BTW, I don't really believe that an Independent or Third party would change a thing. As soon as they got ingrained in power, the same money that corrupts the current parties would turn a bunch of them into snakes too. All that would change is the color of the snake's skin.
