What would it take to establish a vote of confidence and resignation? It seemed to work well in England with Blair.

If only this was the end of the neocons. I fear they are not much different from Al Queda leaders, when one is vanquished, another will step up to take his place.
It will be interesting to see how their contempt for the religious right serves them in future campaigns.
