Whitewashing Blair »

Posted by: _kam0_ 2 years, 7 months ago

The hagiographic re-writing of history after Reagan's death, and more recently after Gerald Ford's, should have prepared us for the inevitable whitewash of Blair's historic crimes following the announcement last week of his upcoming resignation, but on this occasion I do believe the media has surpassed itself.

Well, let's just say the TRUTH will be coming out loudly about Blair's participation in fabricating the need for a "war on terror" very soon.

This article is a whining, harranguing besmirchment of a world hero -- one who has convictions and is not afraid to act on them, without taking endless popularity polls. There have been two real champions of right in recent history in the UK -- one being Margaret Thatcher and the other being Tony Blair. When are the whiners going to realize that without the heros such as these, they wouldn't have the freedom to whine. Shame on the author and the parrots who idiotically and unthinkingly support the author. As citizens of a country, I hope we dont want a leader who is constantly wringing his/her hands and trying to decide what's best. The leader must already have the moral fiber to KNOW, generally, what's best, and then have the guts to make decisions accordingly. That same leader must, on occasion, be willing to admit a mistake and change course accordingly. And for the whining liberals, that does not mean bow to browbeating pressure -- it means using one's own brain.

And as to the legality or morality of war -- idiocy! When negotiations and political processes break down, when reasonable discussion breaks down, when policies conflict between countries beyond the point of diplomacy and when laws and resolutions are disregarded maliciously, THEN war breaks out as a last effort of might to set the course right. EACH party in a war thinks they are right. It is no different in the war on terror. As history has pointed out all too often, the whining only makes things more difficult, and prolongs the battle, but at a cost -- unnecessarily distracting the leaders (both military and civilian) from properly prosecuting the war. While the meek might inherit the earth, the meek are quiet. It is the rabble-rousing timid that raise senseless, pointless voices, supporting countless recent positions voiced by others. The valiant, the brave, the courageous press ahead, secure in the knowledge of character, morality and right. Ask a soldier.

"You reap what you sow".... Blair has found out the hard way that Poms will never put up with his nonsense. Can Americans do that to king dumbya?
