May 22, 2007, 8:59 p.m."It is the duty of the United States to welcome immigrants". Legal immigrants yes, not illegal. Does there exist a congressman/woman that has the gonads to say illegal immigrants are not welcome and they must leave and apply through the proper channels to return. It's the same thing as an escaped criminal that has managed to remain free until one day he/she is found out and they must be returned to prison. They are still a criminal as the immigrants are still illegal. What part of illegal don't our politicians understand?

May 22, 2007, 11:25 p.m.dont see why these so called americans are determining who goes in or out of usa since its NOT their land to begin with. the land belongs to the natives, wake up and smell the coffee. thats like me running in your house. throwing you in the basement, and then i determine who comes and goes.

May 23, 2007, 12:29 a.m.I get so tired of hearing this "it's their land" crap. To make such absurd and outlandish statements is to totally ignore history. Maybe you should review your history and discover that the territories in dispute that the ILLEGALS and their supporters claim is theirs was legally acquired by the US under the terms of The Mexican Cession which is a historical name for the region of the present day southwestern United States that was ceded to the U.S. by Mexico in 1848 under the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo following the Mexican-American War. The cession of this territory from Mexico was a condition for the end of the war, as United States troops occupied Mexico City, and Mexico risked being completely annexed by the U.S. The United States paid $15,000,000 ($298,310,309 in 2005) for the land. The land ceded by Mexico is 14.9% of the total area of the current United States territory. This is the goal of their ILLEGAL INVASION. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexican-American_War

May 23, 2007, 12:44 a.m.It pains me that this is not as highly discussed as some of the other boards. If their is a more important issue other than the war I would like to hear it.
