"The wealth has not been shared between all of the workers in our two countries"??? The unions in the US see a need to bring communism to a communist country? I mean that does sound like communism doesn't it, "The wealth has not been shared between all of the workers" well maybe not, they did leave out the word equally, on the other hand, the workers pay is supposed to be their share of the wealth right? Something just seems very odd here, if the Chinese workers aren't getting their share of the wealth and needs unions think the Chinese workers need their help to get their "fair" share? And why do workers in a communist, supposedly utopian if communism works, country need a union anyway?

      Something nonsensical about this ...

If workers in China get unions, that means that their wages will go up, and they will likely ask for health care plans and more. That means that the corporations have to pay out more of their profits to their workers.

That is EXACTLY why manufacturing was taken OUT of the U.S. by U.S. corporations! The execs wanted to have their products made CHEAPLY, where there were no unions, no company health plan, no company retirement plan, etc.

I have a feeling that this will not sit well with the American companies that have factories and such in China ...

Hasn't James Hoffa ever seen the Tiannamen Square program?

I could just imagine a bunch of his thugs trying to organize a union in China. Up rolls a dozen tanks and rolls right over them. It happened before, it will happen again.

Communism and unions have a lot in common.

They both pretend to provide their rank and file with a good standard of living.

They both have control over their rank and file.

They both limit their membership to what they are allowed to have.

The leaders of both types of organization live large at the expense of their members.

Hoffa is just jealous of the Chinese. The Chinese can just go out into the open and machine gun any malcontents. Union leaders in this country have to harm people in secret under cover of darkness. In this country, the unions have to send suitcases of money to their politicians in order to get favor. In China, the government is the union and they just take whatever they want.
