while there have been many stories about her, this is one of her few direct interviews, largely because of the gag order placed on her lawsuit.

if i had any heroes, she would be one.

The story of Sibel makes me so angry. She is one person trying to do the right thing and stopped at every turn. She didn't go to the press first. She exhausted all legal channels with support from FBI agents only to be gagged. She should be a hero to all of us.

It is just infuriating that this article is in The Armenian Weekly, and not Time, Newsweek, NYT, Washigton Post, et.al.

But we WILL get full pages on Jordin Sparks, you betcha!

We WILL get hours of 'news' coverage on Paris Hilton going to jail.

        Bread and circuses.

Whistleblower laws have been tightened, and anyone that divulges national security secrets goes to jail for three years. Of course, this tightening was done by the CONS, and bush has literally made everything they do a national security secret. Here's another Whistleblower that was kept from testifying in 2006. http://thinkprogress.org/2006/06/12/tice-follow...

How anyone can ignore, and excuse what has been going on right under our noses is infuriating. The more we've allowed this to go on, the more entrenched this cancer against our democracy has become.

It's gone so far as to jeopardized our national and international security! The statements she made are especially damaging!

Turkey's economy is dependent upon the drug trade starting in Afghanistan. A drug trade which funds the Taliban and Al-Qaeda.

"This case sheds light on several important areas, including our foreign policy, which is hypocrisy-ridden. We're not talking only about foreign individuals; we're talking about our own, about U.S. officials who have engaged in actions that are against the American public's best interests and what we stand for."

The War on Drugs and the War on Terror are all bull-shit. No Ifs, Ands, or Buts about it.

I'm awed, how can this be under Republicanism and Democracy.

It would mean corruption and who could possibly accept this as a governing principle, impossible.

If you would believe this you would then believe that Mr. Bush makes mistakes, impossible.
