I have always believed that there was more behind this Iraq story than was being told, for obvious reasons. You don't give away classified information, especially in the middle of a conflict.

We didn't tell the Germans nor the Japanese that we had their secret electronic transmission codes, nor did we tell the Japanese we only had rubber tanks and phonographs up on the cliffs in California, not real defenses. We dropped plastic dummys with parachutes over Germany during WWII just to keep them off guard. There were mistakes made during WWII, during Korea, during Viet Nam, and Iraq is no different. Mistakes sometimes just happen, in spite of your best efforts. Which of us haven't made mistakes raise your hand. Mine isn't raised.

Classfied information right now is still classified, but every wacko and press reporter thinks they ought to print it for the world to see immediately. They've never had to fight in a war. The more information you have that they don't have the better your chances.

You don't announce to your enemy that you're about to attack them, you don't tell them you are sending soldiers so they can have a press party and cameras waiting for them when they come ashore. I know you'd like that, but when you have that your enemy knows you're coming.

Shoot, right now, the terrorists are listening to our newscasts, not theirs. Our idiots are telling them exactly what we are doing, including the next day! There are days when I cannot believe the lack of common sense on the part of our media! Yes, Americans have the right to know....but after the battle is over!

I think most have no clue what evil we are truly dealing with when it comes to the Muslim terrorists. Your first clue should have been their willingness to bomb women and children. These are not enemy combatants or soldiers but criminals. Money talks and common sense walks. But I have been in combat and I know that not everything your commanders know is told to those in the field, not even your President. This is for security reasons. Not all of our classified information is revealed, regardless of how many reporters plead, bleeding hearts cry, and knuckleheads thump their chest about the constitution, and that freedom of information demand it. By the same token, it is a valid point and that information should be given afterwards, by objective investigation, not partisan politics. Some still claim FDR started WWII or at least our entry into it. They claim LBJ escalated Viet Nam?

I am not a Republican nor a Democrat but make no mistake about it. I am a patriot of this country.
