Nissan: Cell Phones Can Alter the I-Key »
Posted by: TechnologyExpert 2 years, 7 months agoCell phones rub some of Nissan's 'intelligent keys' the wrong way, the automaker is warning car owners. Complaints about some cell phones erasing Nissan's I-keys for the 2007 Altima sedan and 2007 Infiniti G35 have the automaker advising customers to keep cell phones and the plastic fobs containing the starters 'at least 1 inch apart at all times.'

May 23, 2007, 7:44 p.m.Why does this not surprise me. All the electronics we carry around. My wife was always zapping her BART ticket if her iPod got close to it (admittedly, simpler than a I-key, but still).

May 24, 2007, 2:23 p.m.I have read that the newer ikeys use a frequency that is close to a cell phones. Probably one of those quad band phones.
