May 23, 2007, 8:38 p.m.She believes she crossed the lines, but she didn't mean to. So either she didn't know the law, which is amazing for someone in the position of power she was given, or she knowingly broke civil service law. When this woman was hired, she was 28 years old. Hired and given responsibilities that would be daunting for seasoned attorneys. Her only background was that she had worked for the Republican National Committee. 60% of her graduating class, from Pat Robertson's Regents University, flunked the bar. This university is rated 150 something among law Universities. Yet this woman was given a high ranking job in the most powerful law department in this nation. A department that can name enemy combatants, & have U.S. citizens whisked away without due process. A department that is charged with monitoring for CRIME within government, & bringing lawbreakers to justice. A dept. that by virtue of its responsibilities MUST remain politically neutral.

May 23, 2007, 8:39 p.m.YET, 150 employees of the justice dept were hired from her alma mater, and by her admittance, she hired those that shared her political views. This is nothing more than a covert attempt to use our laws for inserting the ideologies of right wing extremism. This is nothing short of an attempt to subvert the Constitution of the U.S. These people are traitors.

May 24, 2007, 1:16 a.m.Yes this graduate from a 4th tier school holds a 3rd ranking position. Has never worked as a prosecutor yet was in charge of hiring them. She must have been doing something right, 5 promotions in 5yrs. She believes Gonzales is a good man and tries hard, yet has no opinion on his performance. Heck of a resume :)

May 24, 2007, 7:05 a.m.Please. Stop feigning virtue. This is obviously a weak attempt at mudslinging. Try to hold your looks of shock and disgust without bursting out laughing. This is like the crowd trying to do global warming ads while eating beans in their private jets at 30,000 feet. If these high powered lawyers were wronged in any way there would be lawsuits papering the walls of the Whitehouse Oval office and not the Washington Post urinals. These are politically motivated lawyers trying to find a crime to fit a common practice that has been occurring since the DOJ was created.
Now it is illegal? Since when?

May 24, 2007, 4:45 p.m.The Conservatives have developed diploma mills so they can place their supporters in key positions. Unfortunately, they have not trained them very well about how to behave ethically, or how to even give the appearance of having done so. Apparently, their law schools don't make any effort to teach professional ethics.
