Yeah, John - such patriotic and heart-felt words from such a grand defender of our country ... NOT.
Sure is easy for YOU to say, John, that "we" need to keep fighting the terrorists "over there".
Who, exactly, is the "we" Kimosabe?
It sure isn't YOU, John. I don't see your a** over in Iraq "fighting the terrorists". And, I bet I don't see any of your family or your friends' family over in Iraq fighting, either.
Republicans - and too many Democrats - like Boehner have sacrificed ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for Bush's war. They not only have NO idea what has been sacrificed for the debacle in Iraq, they do NOT care as long as they continue to get rich and fulfill their own agendas.
War is to be fought by the poor and the lower middle class, and "sacrifice" is only for the soldiers and their families, after which they come home (the ones that survive) to crappy health care, homelessness, bankruptcy, and suicide.

Meanwhile, Iraqis - especially the children - continue to lose jobs, homes, lives, dignity, while the civil war continues unabated by any "surge".
Children can't go to school, the death rate for children under 5 years has risen significantly, children are doing drugs and prostitution, children are working for insurgents making bombs (used on US troops) because they need the money, there is little electricity or clean water, medical supplies are scarce, and the Tigris river is polluted and filling up with dead bodies.
But - our politicians can't be bothered with those details. They are too busy making money off of the war and off of the oil company profits.

And the billions and billions of $$ that Bush has spent to kill, maim, rape, pillage, destroy etc. could all have been spent on US citizens' education, health care, VA benefits, security on boarders.....ALL of what would have made our country stronger against terrorists !! That's what Boehner is crying about !!!! Politics over common sense......when will this madness end !!
