Gore: All TV 'bad' except my network, Daily Show or whatever I'm watching »
Posted by: TimALoftis 2 years, 5 months agoFormer Vice President Al Gore stopped by Comedy Central's Daily Show with Jon Stewart to plug his new book, The Assault on Reason Thursday night, and, along the way, took aim at the media for not providing all the "facts" about the war in Iraq

May 25, 2007, 4:45 p.m.Al Gore is about as important as the cricket that is outside my home that chirps all night. And come to think of it, as about as annoying too. He belongs on comedy shows - along with his bogus information.

May 25, 2007, 5:20 p.m.Gore's right about the media.
Big News did indeed let us down in the lead up to the Iraq invasion. They didn't ask the right questions. They didn't do any probing or any type of investigative journalism. some of the media even became cheerleaders for Bush's horrible plan.
and the let down continues to this day.
for instance, why hasn't the media been trying to find out who created the bogus niger document that was used as a main piece of evidence in bush's arguement for war? we all know the document's a forgery, but no attempt has been made by the media to uncover the truth about it.
so they are still letting us down.
and anyone who thinks al gore isn't important must have their head in the sand. he has almost single-handedly brought the global warming debate to the forefront. and he continues to score big in the presidential hopefuls race. a poll in Iowa showed that 44% of the dems want Gore to run. in Cali, gore topped all the dem hopefuls. uh oh!

May 25, 2007, 5:45 p.m.I received my copy of 'The Assault On Reason' from Amazon yesterday. Read a couple chapters last night prior to lights out and I found the book to be quite good although it is not as compelling as his last book 'An Inconvenient Truth'
No doubt that Gore is a Jon Stewart fan...he mentions Jon and the Daily Show several times in his book.

May 25, 2007, 6:45 p.m.It's a sad commentary on the state of the media that people tune into a comedy show to cut through the BS, but Gore is right on the money with that remark about the court jester.

May 26, 2007, 1:17 a.m.Gore should have stayed the bearded Sore loserman he was after 2000.
I know life would just be better without his money making schemes foisted on us one after the other. This guy is a monument to modern hypocrisy and misinformation.
I rate him up their with professional douchebag Michael Moore and his crummy cash grabbing works of fiction.
Gore has the balls to tell you to ride a tricycle to work while he floats around the globe leaving high altitude contrails in his jumbojet. What a schmuck!
The only one worse is Edwards and his trash about poverty...another in a long line of Democrap Jackbags.

May 26, 2007, 12:13 p.m.Personally I have mixed feelings about Gore.
At the time he was elected but Bush was selected I voted for Gore since I though he was better.
Since he started his political resurrection his environmental campaign appealed to me.
Little by little I realized he is mostly politically motivated and the environment for him is just a tool.
He is misinformed. And internationally has closed doors to countries interested in providing solutions for a green planet.
As far as his statements about the media, he is totally correct.
I hope he leaves the presidential candidature to B.Obama,
H.Clinton or B.Richardson.

May 26, 2007, 3:22 p.m.HYPOCRITE!!!!!!!!!:
Is a one word discripion that is all that is required to
describe the man, his books, and his movie.
Why bother with his irrelevence.
HYPOCTITE is that latest in the UNDENIABLE THRUTH.
Gore: If he had his way would tax you on every breath you take, evry flatulent, and every burp. While he would exempt himself becasue he is special. He got all the carbon offsets
purchased and he and his kind will polute this planet with his politics and his rightiousness. He has more hot air emmisions to cause GLOBAL WARMING all by himself.

Flash! Sky is falling! GWB/global warming, cause of global

May 27, 2007, 9:12 a.m.what I'm really looking forward to are the perceptive analytic books Bush43 will write after his reign of terror ends. Let-alone the prescient tomes that we've been presented by the Repub VPs (Gore's peers?) - Quayle, Bush41, Cheney....and the classic Repub Role Model: Spiro T Agnew
