A Memorial Day message from John Edwards »

Posted by: joeeddie 2 years, 7 months ago

"Some will say that this weekend is not the right time to ask Americans to stand together and tell the President and the Congress to end this war. They may say it is not patriotic, or that it does not honor the fallen.I strongly disagree. I believe that Memorial Day Weekend is exactly the right time to honor the memory of those who paid the ul

      Edwards is rolling the dice.

At best, he's running a poor third in the Democrat presidential field in 2008. This latest thing is a piece of raw meat for the DailyKos/Moveon crowd

I'll have a baked potato (slathered with butter & sour cream) and think of Cheney, and my broccoli in honor of our president, who displays vegetable-like prescience.

I remember my Memorial Day's as a child. We had a great uncle who would lead us on a neighborhood parade complete with sparklers, balloons, drums and batons. The parade would start off with about 20 people and we would go around the neighborhood and thank any servicepeople and veterans that we met. By the end of the parade, the single file marchers would grow to about 100 or so people, mostly children. I have never felt more patriotic than I did then.

I have no secret of my support for John Edwards. On this issue, I agree with him 100%. The most patriotic thing that can be done for our country is to bring an end to this illegal war.

Edwards is the wild card and hopefully he will get his parties nomination. Reality rears it's ugly head and all parties have intrigue and deception with Hillary plotting and planning her nomination. She is just so corrupt and egotistical with a large dose of desiring power its obnoxious. GO EDWARDS, defeat your party of the weaklings and voters of a wrong, wrong, wrong war of aggression.

Ron Paul is a pragmatic Republican but like Edwards the conservative idiots of the Republican party will vote in, like the Democrats, another loyalist who favors world dominance. Truthful candidates representing Americans for America are not of the norm in either party. Its whats best for the candidate and his/her and parties future.

Are you gay or are you quoting an article?

And before you start trying to sway me with an article from the Washington Blade, read "John Edwards on civil rights for gay and lesbian Americans" on the Gay and Lesbian channel here at Netscape. The responses included are reflective of what I've heard John Edwards say himself.

Are ANY of the Democrats as progressive and supportive as I'd like? Well, maybe Dennis Kucinich, but he is unelectable as a Presidential candidate. But mostly...no, not really...

But of the top tier, Edwards comes closest to my own point of view.

Edwards is just another dose of extreme arrogance and hypocrisy. He is just another sad cog on yet another democratic wheel of crooks and emptysuits.

Quite frankly, with Hillary being the joke of the ages, and Edwards a fake jackbag...even a nobody with zero credentials like Barack Hussein looks good.

I disagree completely with todays liberal lunacy...they offer NOTHING.

I cant believe that a person running for President, would say to fellow Americans that Memorial Day should be a day for politics and protests!!! But then again his arrogant self righteous prick has no CLUE about the military, never SERVED IN THE MILITARY and furthermore NEVER had any family members in the MILITARY!!! NOR EVER LOST SOMEONE CLOSE THAT WAS IN THE MILITARY!!! All the courageous heros both men and women that paid the ULTIMATE PRICE to protect our freedoms and keep us safe DESERVE TO HAVE THIS DAY WITHOUT some ****** saying we should protest against the war... If it werent for those brave men and women in uniform, we would be speaking Japeneese!!!! btw... I want to send out a heart felt debt of gratitude for all you that serve in our military and keep us safe!!! May God Bless You All, and your families!!!!

Is it to much to ask to have a day to HONOR OUR TROOPS withouth all the typical B.S politics!!! You want to protest loonies go right on ahead... Memorial Day is NOT the day for that.. This day is to remeber and honor our nations brave men and women..... NONTHING ELSE!!!

I cant read any more of these without saying something. To those of you who were in Iraq and saw the turning of the tide or us winning ,yeah were winning by killing, sorry murdering anyone in the country that wont stay home and wait till we get to you to shut you up and fall in line with our global plan. My point is stop this crap about winning ,were gonna win no matter how many of our brave soldiers die or innocent Iraqies we cant possibly loose cause our tax dollars fund the war our house and senate wont stop sending the pentagon money and were all to afraid to not pay taxes so you tell me with the strongest military in the history of the world and an endless supply of cash and an endless supply of death merchants at the pentagon ,how could we loose ?.Well I guess we could run out of Iraqies to kill that would be like winning by default though.

It's like this, We are already involved in this mess and now we have to finnish it. I agree we should mind our own busness but it's to late for this one. Our Gov. seems to do what they want reguardless of the people who put them there. They know things we have no clue about. We see a sinceless war, they see a bigger picture. We need to support this mess to the end and get it over with. If Iran is a threat to us lets get together and deal with it and start taking care of the countrys that want our help. And clean up our own back yard.
