Memorial Day 2007: A Rememberance »

Posted by: populist 2 years, 5 months ago

Let us give pause and reflect, that we might carry out our lives in such a way that love and tolerance might overbalance hatred and bigotry in the scales of life, and the dream of peace might become a reality, so those we remember today did not die in vain.

The numbers run together, but each one affects entire families. The survivors. We've lost how many soldiers? We've destroyed even more lives.

          Amen populist,

Memorial day should not be a day to celebrate the glory of death for country. It should be a time to honor those who have given their all for freedom, and to then use that freedom to limit how often that sacrifice is necessary.

With my son about to graduate from college, and being an ROTC member, this is a most meaningful time to me.

ahhh, the populist party, AKA retarded communists.

solemn and respectful lead in to the story.

didn't waste much time showing it's true colors, however.

a propaganda piece for the anti-everything-american crowd.

the sad part is, some US citizens believe this...

Lives of great men all remind us,

We can make our lives sublime,

And departing , leave behind us

Footprints in the sands of time.

                Footprints, that perhaps another,

                Sailing o'er life's solemn main,

                A forlorn and shipwreck'd brother,

                Seeing, shall take heart again.

                Longfellow.

Let's hope that our troops are back from the Middle East before Memorial day 08, so that others will not have paid the price for our mistakes, our sins, and our ignorance.

Those who honor the criminals in uniform who are in Iraq, are really honoring President Bush and his Iraq invasion.
