Not all the animals are in cages. How many NFL players are involved in pro dog fighting, is starting to be a very ugly story. Portis, running back for the Washington Redskins, on national TV said he saw nothing wrong with Vick's involvement in pro dog fighting. ESPN true to its fans, has a major story on this scandal.

The ESPN story was an interview with an FBI underground informant. This guy has already busted five dog fighting rings. He says he personally bet against Vick's dog for $5,000.

The number of pro footballers involved in pro dog fighting is staggering. Clips of dog fighting were shown. It made animal research look like taking an animal's temperature.

The fights would last up to two hours until a dog was either dead or couldn't defend itself. The blood was flowing like little streams. Viewing these videos should have a warning, as the dogs are screaming as they tore each others flesh.

"We've been saying for a while there seems to be a subculture of dogfighting in the NFL, and this Vick thing seems to reinforce that," Goodwin said. "And the nonchalant attitude that Clinton Portis had in describing something that is a felony crime really drove the point home. The guy's attitude was unbelievable."

In an interview Monday, Portis told Norfolk, Va.'s WAVY-TV, "I don't know if (Vick) was fighting dogs or not. But it's his property; it's his dogs. If that's what he wants to do, do it."

Portis, a Laurel, Miss., native, added, "I know a lot of back roads that got a dogfight if you want to go see it. But they're not bothering those people because (they) are not big names. I'm sure there's some police got dogs that are fighting them, some judges got dogs."

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said he was "extremely disappointed and embarrassed for Clinton Portis."

Ron Mexico and Clinton Portis are 2 of the dumbest people that I have ever seen. Personally, I have grown tired of Mr. Mexico's act. Flipping the bird to fans, not progressing as a quarterback, giving away free samples of herpee's and now this.

This dude needs to be made an example of and have the maximum penalty tossed his way. As for Portis, why doesn't he just stick to running the rock and wearing his stupid ass costumes and leave the legal and political commentary to people who has a little bit more education

I think anyone who thinks dog fighting is a 'sport' or 'okay' should be staked spread eagle and naked and have doggie treats shoved in their orifices and have vicious rabid dogs set on them. Then they might think differently...of course they'd be dog food themselves, but at least maybe they'd see things from the dogs point of view!

          This is sick...
