May 28, 2007, 2:25 p.m.Futility and failure has never discouraged the U.S. government from throwing good money after bad.
Since the fundies like to quote the Bible to support their positions, try this one:
Gensis 29 "Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. (30) And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground; everything that has the breath of life in it; I give every green plant for food." And it was so."

May 28, 2007, 5:07 p.m.Now...act surprised.
The US Government can only do one thing right - raise and collect taxes and spend the hell out of them. they don't know how to stop drugs (here's a hint - start at the user side) - they use drug laws as a money machine to buy Hummer police cars and other cute ways to 'protect' us. They ain't got a clue about drugs and don't care, but they WILL lock up suppliers, but not do ANYTHING about the users. DUH!!!
Where's the disconnect?
God didn't pass on any scriptures about some grade school dropout mixing this food he 'giveth' to produce a high for somebody stupid enough to put this mix into something else
God passed down - your body.
Drugs are pervasive in our society - each family MUST donate at least one child to the production, use and abuse of some kind of drug in each of our lifetimes...getting to where there's more than just the one in a family now, but who's counting? It's 'cool' and we're just having a little fun...

May 28, 2007, 8:40 p.m.$135 a gram?!?!? I think they meant $135 for 3.5 grams unless they are talking about some very very very pure stuff.

May 28, 2007, 8:49 p.m.apparently, history hasnt taught the DEA ANYTHING! The more you ban something, the more appeal it'll have, the more people want it. Not saying that this stuff should be legalized for public use, but if we can secure our damn borders a little more, it'll be that much harder for 'mules', and shipments to be smuggled in.

May 30, 2007, 11:01 a.m.Really, why not legalize it - at least the tamer natural stuff - it would lower the appeal, eliminate the crime around it, and save us tons of $$ - some of which could go into therapy to get people off of drugs. The people who want to use it always will anyway.
