The British and American governments need a place to keep detainees while undergoing interrogation. Do they need to be kept for so long at Guantanamo? Do we need to hold them the duration of this foolish war?

Sami al Hajj has a ton of nerve to complain about being at Guantanamo. After all he was convicted of having ties to Osama, right? I mean, he was tried, right? He wasn't tried? Well, if he has been detained at Gitmo, he must be guilty, right? That's what I hear from the conservatives on here.

What a blunder Guantanamo is. And what's interesting about his situation is that even though he's been detained, he's taking the high road and asking for the BBC journalist to be released. Are we sure that al Hajj is a Muslim? Haven't the rabid right said that all of the Muslims were wild-eyed fanatics? Not much more than crazed animals? Interesting.
