God bless America and keep those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the ideals of this nation.

My prayers are for all whom have lost loved ones, may the pain you feel now fade away, leaving the wonderful memories of your loved ones for you to cherish forever!

      Peace to all the world.

The Gunners Dream by Roger Waters

          Floating down through the clouds

memories come rushing up to meet me now

in the space between the heavens

and in the corner of some foreign field

          I had a dream

          I had a dream

          goodbye Max

          goodbye ma

after the service when you're walking slowly to the car

and the silver in her hair shines in the cold November air

          you hear the tolling bell

and touch the silk in your lapel

and as the tear drops rise to meet the comfort of the band

          you take her frail hand

and hold on to the dream

We just got home from a memorial ride, 8,000 motorcycles (Mostly Harley's) started at a local dealer then paraded to the national Cemetary where we participated in the Memorial day ceremonies. Every bike had atleast 1 flag on it. Simply a very humbling day spent in the memory of those that paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.

May they all rest in peace

              MacR... Amen Brother!

Here in Los Angeles, there were several T.V. reporters on the ground and helicopters in the air. We were led by a U.S. Army helicopter all the way to the cemetery.

Zaph... great article... Thanks, i needed it after reading most of the other articles on the site today. I just went off in another thread titled "A tribute to our soldiers".
