sad. sucky to lose any more troops, or any troops at all for that matter.

are we waging the war in afghanistan correctly? it seems like we've been there a long time, longer than WWII lasted actually and what do we have to show for it? how much longer will we have to sustain two brigades in afghanistan? what's the mission? how do we know when it's been achieved?

Afghanistan used to be an absolutely beautiful country before the US and Russia got in there and bombed it and destroyed it. Kabul was a center of learning and enlightenment; women had freedoms there and this was starting to spread throughout the country with the public education of girls and boys. But after 20 years of war, that is all gone. Cities destroyed, villages destroyed, the people are fearful to move about. Everyone is afraid and trusts no one. What the US needs to be doing is send teachings of peace and love; textbooks, basic food and medical supplies, finding sources of clean water, etc. Every community, school, cultural center, the newspapers needs to start teaching and reinforcing concepts of peace, love, tolerance, understanding, sympathy, empathy, etc. This country need no more bombs and munitions. For a great book on peace and love, see "korana of mother goddess" available at amazon dot com, LuLu dot com and ebay. peace and love to you all.

The Afghanistan Korangirl was talking about was Afghanistan before the Russian invasion in the 1980's hence the 20 years of war its been through. Back when Afghanistan was fighting the Ruskies american spies supplied Afghani fighters with weapons including stinger anti-air rockets. when the Russians left they expected American help and we dumped them like they didn't exist. Thats when the Taliban rose up during the time after the russians and it cost the afghani people which is also a reason there is hatred for America in the region to this day. They may not have had the best past there had been fighting in the late 1800's but they werent as bad as they were after russia left and we left them to civil war. Also if we had bothered to help them establish a government after the Russians the taliban most likely never would have existed and al-queda wouldnt have had the place to train its "soldiers" or to plan 9-11 altogether

Our country has been officialy in business for it self since 1776 to become the leader of finance,po... a group of people drafted the bill of rights , the Constitution and developed a myriad of laws with the intent of fairness to all. No matter how good the laws are there is still conflicts within our states but we have the one thing Afghans,Arabs,Serbs, most of the middleast and third world countries don't have. THE willingness to try and settle our differences and live with each other in peace.

We are such a young country compared to most ancients dating back to bibical days.Look what we have accomplished in such a short time because we took the initiative to work together and has proven itself to the world.

Message to other counries,We do not have an exclusive copywrite to the Constitution!!! If another country were to adopt it as their own I don't forsee it as a problem. But you have to live it in your heart to work!!

It is such a pity that we have to treat our enemies so humanely, such trait might be our undoing.
