On May 30, 2005, Vice President Cheney declared that the insurgency in Iraq was in its "last throes" and predicted "the level of activity that we see today from a military standpoint, I think, will clearly decline."

They don't think about ANYTHING - morals, accountability, responsibility - except for their own agenda. Nothing else matters. And, too many in Congress and in this country are allowing them to do it.
Cheney is a pathalogical liar and has no credibility any more. He is EVIL as far as I am concerned.

That statement was made 2 years after the war "ended". Here it is 2 years later still and, the insurgency has gotten increasingly worse that they are now escalating our involvement. This view that "peace is at hand" is what allows the Cheney-Bush war to persist.
