Confounding the Founding Fathers »

Our Founding Fathers would surely be confounded today by the way the democratic system upon which they founded this country is running out of steam.

    I don't think the founders would be confounded by what politicians have done. They obviously saw it as a very real danger when they set up the best system they could to thwart this trashing of their vision. I think what would really confound them, is the abject silence of the American people, and their unwillingness to fight for their country. For their COUNTRY...not their political party.
