June 1, 2007, 12:49 p.m.I don't think the founders would be confounded by what politicians have done. They obviously saw it as a very real danger when they set up the best system they could to thwart this trashing of their vision. I think what would really confound them, is the abject silence of the American people, and their unwillingness to fight for their country. For their COUNTRY...not their political party.
