This should be made more public. I haven't heard a word about it on MSM. So the committee continues to endorse torture. As far as I am concerned, Bill Nelson from Florida should be out of a job.

The entire nation needs to face this ugly system and the kind of damage it has done to our relationship with the rest of the world. Shame on us.

Why are we still allowing torture? Why do we need a committee to tell us that torture is wrong? Amazing.

It just amazes me at the number of things going on in our nation. And I can hardly believe that we the US of A are engaging in some of these practices. How do we look to the other countries on this planet? We have have sunk so far down.

Not to mention the decency of the United States that has been spit on, and treated like a 'flaw' to be eliminated.

Once again people who cannot stomach what needs to be done to protect our lives, are complaining that this necessary tactic is wrong. If torturing 100 known terrorists saves just one American life, it is necessary. Besides, these are known terrorists, or people who have funded or aided terrorists. Are their rights worth more to you than the rights of our innocent citizens?

What is the definition of torture?? Would you include these??

                extreme temperatures

                waterboarding

                noise stress

                sexual embarrassment and humiliation

                religious dilemma

                prolonged cramped or restrictive confinement

                Just curious

First of all, hasn't it been established that a lot of the detainees where falsely accused(although even one is too much). The notion that torturing 100 terrorists to save one American seems kind of arrogant to me; but i wonder what will happen next, are they going to start allowing torture to speed up say, murder trials at home. That most likely won't happen, if the whole torture thing was so justified they would be doing in the U.S. not in the shadows in a country where its legal.

Isn't it clear to all Americans? Why is there even any debate. The only way we can avoid totalitarian government taking us over is to make our own government totalitarian. There is no other way. Give up all your freedoms NOW, America. Otherwise, we may loose some of your freedom.

I still wish SOMEONE would give me a definition of TORTURE.

I think anyone would agree that the Al Queda manual was torture.

Where have you seen that reported on the news??

According to one source "To their credit, CNN and Fox News Channel ran stories on the declassified material. Yet nine days since the material was released, neither ABC, CBS, NBC, The New York Times nor The Washington Post has run a story with the photos of this shocking evidence of Al-Qaeda's barbarism."
