June 2, 2007, 4:45 p.m.Yes, most people are aware that we no longer have a main stream press, but instead have a for profit, for political interests propaganda machine. But that doesn't mean there isn't real 'press' out there. The problem is, are people willing to find it?

Truman, Ronald Reagan, Hubert Humphrey, and Joseph McCarthy. She opposed US involvement in World War I, World War II and the Korean War, although she also strongly denounced pacifism: "When a nation resorts to war, it has some purpose, rightly or wrongly, something to fight for รข;; and the only justifiable purpose is self-defense."

June 3, 2007, 10:35 a.m.It seems to me that the editorial stance of most media outlets is known to most of us before we even pick up today's copy, or tune in. Reporters pretty much have to work with that, but otherwise they have the same (or more) freedom to speak their minds as anyone else. If you think (or especially if you CAN PROVE) that some reporter is spouting drivel, call him on it. If it is a persistent problem do not support that forum or its advertisers, and tell them why. This really is pretty paranoid.
