June 4, 2007, 10:10 a.m.I don't see any relevence to Edwards. He was a wet noodle in the last campaign and I don't look for anything different this time around either.
The Clintons have been killing the democratic party for too long, They just need to go home! Hillary is just phoney.
I'm looking to Obama to bring this country back together. He is the only candidate that is a uniter instead of a divider.

June 4, 2007, 10:12 a.m.I'll admit I didn't watch the whole thing, but I also lost any confidence I had in any of the candidates. The question that tipped my scale had to be the English as our Official language question. For them to basically cave to immigrants is utterly preposterous.
I don't go to France or China and expect them to cater to my english speaking abilities. French and Chinese (dialects aside) are the official languages of those countries and many others have their own. English should not be second classed to any other language in this country. It's what we were built on and that's where we should stay.
I have much more respect for someone who comes to this country and tries to learn English, than I do of anyone who expects me to understand their language.
Hopefully the Repubs won't disappoint so much on Tuesday. I don't have much hope, and I know this country is screwed for the next 4-8 years, so good luck to everyone as we all try to live through these troubling times.

June 4, 2007, 10:49 a.m.I am disappointed in all of the Democratic candidates. I guess I consider myself in the swing vote class as I claim no one political party, but from what I watched of the debate, they all looked fake.
Here is a tip for the DNC, get a solid plan on all the issues before you start your campaigns! All this looked like more appeasement to the far left (insane) minority of the Democratic Party than to it's base.
I was looking towards John Edwards, but now he has went on the appeasement plan as well! The Populist party rings a bell!
Looks like I'll be looking to the Republican's again to see if they have any solid plans on their upcoming debate. I'm sure many swing voter's will as well.

June 4, 2007, 10:52 a.m.The debate was weak due to the ridiculous time constraints and haphazardly organized platform.
Overall, (this time around) the juncture did not reveal any strong presidential hopefuls. Why? Clinton was too nice, Edwards too brash and Obama too conservative. The remaining few candidates attempted to show their charisma but had no definitive characteristic that was presidential or a convincing plan that would do anything more than take two presidential terms to implement and overwhemingly raise federal and state taxes.
Without doubt, Sen. Obama is the most presidential, possibly the best choice; except where he lacks indepth experience, unlike Ms. Clinton who appears to have more knowledge of worldly politics. But, Obama is a fast learner, innovative and not afraid to expose and/or wise enough to resist the temptations of advocates or those who secretly attempt to control politics in this country and the world. Lesser candidates seem to have blank check agendas or wasted time.

June 4, 2007, 11:21 a.m.'Contenders clash on Iraq, immigration health care'
It was Disgraceful to hear the Democratic Party stand in Front of the American Public and totally unified agree that English need Not be Our national language???
The Bottom line is, the Democratic Party does Not see any Problem with Illegal immigration??? This was Clear throughout the debate...
Note, if left as is, except Illegal immigration coming to a town near You??? also, teach your children to learn another language, they will need it...
Thanks democrats!!!
Hillary appeared to be the Big looser at this debate....
Hillary did a lot of double talking and although she is a well accomplished Liar, she is No Bill Clinton...
Unless Hillary is in a staged venue like Larry king with softball predetermined questions, she does very Poorly on her own...
Just imagin these Nuts in charge of protecting our Country?
What a Bunch of Pure 'BS'
How Sad...

June 4, 2007, 11:53 a.m.As much as I don't like any of them, I have to say that at least Obama has been consistent with his stance on the war. I couldn't disagree more, but at least he's sticking to his gu... oops.
Edwards really shouldn't be lecturing anyone on this issue, and Hillary, well, we'll have to wait and see how she feels about things until the next debate or senate vote...

June 4, 2007, 12:47 p.m.From article: "As long as there is a single troop in Iraq that I know if I take action by funding them, I increase the prospect they will live or not be injured, I cannot and will not vote no to fund them," said Biden, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee."
That is well-reasoned. Kudos, Mr. Biden.

June 4, 2007, 2:04 p.m.Having watched the debate, I have to say that better questions could have been asked. ...It will be interesting to see if the Republicans are fielded softball questions on Tuesday.
John Edwards did well last night. I loved to watch Mike Gravel and Dennis Kucinich. Bill Richardson made some good points.
I'm glad they all see that "don't ask don't tell" should be scrapped.
I'm with Kucinich on health care, but I believe that Edwards offers the more realistic approach as far as a plan that could pass Congress.
I also think Edwards did well with questions on the war. I believe most Americans accept his contrition for the war vote.
I really don't think the debate itself changed anyone's mind....
